Investor Visa

An Investor Visa is a UAE residency granted to a shareholder of a UAE-licensed entity. Standard duration 2 years (free zones) or 2–3 years (mainland), renewable as long as the shareholder remains on the trade license. The visa is self-sponsored — no employer involvement — and the holder has full work rights in their own company.

Eligibility requires being on the company's MOA / trade license as a shareholder; minimum share-capital thresholds apply at some free zones. Typically processed in 2–4 weeks alongside the company setup.

The Investor Visa process generally involves the following steps:

1. Company Licensing: Establishing a company in the UAE is the first step. This can be done through various mechanisms, including mainland LLC, free zone companies, or offshore structures.
2. Shareholder Application: Once the company is licensed, the shareholders apply for the Investor Visa.
3. Documentation Submission: Applicants must submit comprehensive documentation, including passport copies, company registration documents, proof of financial resources, and other required forms.
